A PATTERN 1856 WORLD WAR I ROYAL NAVY MIDSHIPMAN'S DIRK, circa 1914, with 17 3/4 in. steel blade with faint etching, brass hilt and cross-guard with acorn terminals and langet with fouled anchor in wreath with kings crown above, wire-bound imitation fish-skin covered grip, lion's had pommel with suspension ring, no scabbard, bladed badly pitted, some losses to grip, 23 1/2 in. overall
